Annual & Pre-Track Tech Inspections
Big Dog Motorsports provides annual tech inspections for BMWCCA Club Racing, HPDE, & NASA Racing. We also perform pre-track inspections. Bringing in your car for a thorough tech inspection at a qualified shop is highly recommended before you go to the to the track for autocross, a high performance driver’s ed event, or a race.
Why Are Tech Inspections Important?
Nothing can ruin a great weekend at the track more than getting there and finding you have a problem. Even worse is realizing that you had a catastrophic failure on track because you overlooked something,
Our inspectors are qualified. We’ve spent many days at the track, meaning we’ve seen and experienced what happens when a driver neglects this important step.
What’s Included in a Tech Inspection?
We offer a bare bones tech that will be enough to get your tech forms filled out and signed. We also offer a full nut and bolt inspection, which should uncover most potential issues. In either case, we may suggest upgrades in consumables that will make your track event more enjoyable. These may include:
Higher performance brake pads: A better fit for track use, quicker stopping, and less fade.
High temp brake fluid: A full flush and replacement, not just a bleed.
New drivers: Get our advice on setting initial tire pressures and monitoring them throughout your day. We can also advise you on which modifications are most important for your car.
